Day 1: ARRIVAL & TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by a member of our team and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Arrive at the hotel & stay at leisure or have a brief Kampala City Tour depending on your arrival time (only possible with morning or early afternoon flights). The city tour is conducted by an experienced local tour guide that knows his way around the city along with a comfortable air-conditioned safari vehicle. Visitors will visit popular historic cultural and religious sites that include Kasubi Tombs, Kabaka’s Palace, Martyrs Shrine and Uganda National Museum.

Journey time: 6 – 7 Hours

Early breakfast & start off your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal Town, offering you stunning views of the tea estates, the Rwenzori Mountains & photo opportunity at the Equator & the Queen’s Pavilion. Upon arrival check into your lodge for lunch and enjoy a stay at leisure with an evening game drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in Western Uganda bordering DRC. It is the second-largest and one of Uganda’s most varied protected areas and it is strategically located in the Albertine Rift valley at the foot of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains between lakes Edward and George.

Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Surrounded by other wonderful parks in the western region of Uganda, the Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its rich biodiversity, wildlife and history. In the southern part of the park, the remote Ishasha sector is home to tree-climbing lions that spend long lazy days dozing in the pretty fig trees. The Uganda Kob, which they watch from the branches, grazes the plains. Around Lake Edward, enjoy fishing and game watching – make sure to look out for chimpanzees, elephants, crocodiles, and perennial and migratory bird species. Overnight: Engiri Game Lodge/ Buffalo Safari Lodge / Mazike Valley Lodge

Day 3: Buffalo Safari Lodge, Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day Itinerary

GAME DRIVE TO LAKE KATWE & A BOAT CRUISE

After an early breakfast, start off your day by exploring the flora and fauna of this amazing national park. Expect to see a variety of animals & birds:

  • 604 species of birds like the African fish eagle, yellow-billed stork among others.
  • Primates
  • Cats like lions, Leopard, Cerval etc.
  • Candid like side stripped jackal
  • Civets, Genet and mongooses.
  • Elephants, buffalos, hippos

As you wind up with the game drive proceed to Lake Katwe; this lake is far too salty to support aquatic life, though since the 16th Century it has ensured the survival of locals, who spend most of their days extracting salt from its milky waters. Explore the tough & fascinating process of local salt mining. Return to the lodge for lunch after here. After lunch, go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel Cruise Kazinga Channel so as to see various wild animals as they come down to the water and cool off. By engaging in this activity expect:

Day 4: End of Itinerary

DEPART VIA KAMPALA CITY FOR ENTEBBE & DEPARTURE 

Journey Time: 7 – 8 Hours

Enjoy an early breakfast & immediately embark on your journey to Entebbe. En-route, you will have a stopover at the equator for some demonstrations, souvenir shopping and a photo moment. On arrival in Entebbe, you will check-in for your flight back home.
