Day 2: Nile Village Hotel & Spa, Jinja


Journey Time: 2 hours

At 08:00 am depart Kampala on a sightseeing trip to Jinja. Have a brief stopover at Sezibwa Falls (Very beautiful) and thereafter proceed to Griffin Falls Camp Mabira for Zip lining or a forest walk. Proceed to the Source of the Great River Nile). Enjoy a boat cruise to the source of the Nile & explore;

  • Various bird species including Kingfishers

  • Explore the fish farming activities around the port

Day 3: Pakuba Safari Lodge, Murchison Falls National Park

Day Itinerary


Journey time: 6 -7 Hours

Early breakfast & depart Jinja for Murchison Falls National Park. Stopover for lunch in Masindi and later continue to the park.  You will have the opportunity to walk to the falls before checking in at the lodge for dinner, leisure & overnight. Rhino Trekking at Ziwa (optional): En-route to Masindi 3 hours’ drive out of Kampala, you will make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rare Rhinos before proceeding to the National Park. 

Visit the Top of the falls; spot a permanent rainbow amidst the loud sound of the waterfall. The view is rewarding as it explains why Murchison Falls is one of the world’s powerful waterfalls. And soon after experiencing the perfect scenery, proceed to the ferry dock, crossover to the lodge so as to check in with the rest of the day at leisure.

Murchison Falls National Park

Stretching from the shores of Lake Albert, Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest National Park. The Nile River flows through the middle of the park creating the impressive Murchison Falls which is the park’s major attraction. The landscape features dense rainforest,
undulating savannah and diversity of abundant wildlife. Visitors can enjoy prime game-viewing along the Buligi Circuit.

The forests are home to numerous primates, including Chimpanzees, and near the river, buffalo, elephants and Rothschild-Giraffes can be seen. Other commonly spotted wildlife include lions, antelope, waterbucks, hippos and crocodiles.

Pakuba Safari Lodge is located in North West of Uganda on the Eastern Bank of the Albert Nile. The tastefully furnished rooms offer comfort, style & serenity. Day 4: Pakuba Safari Lodge, Murchison Falls National Park

Day Itinerary


After an early breakfast, you will have a game drive through the delta circuit, reputably known for high concentrations of wildlife. Return to the lodge and spend the rest of the morning at leisure with lunch at the lodge.

What to expect; Lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, hartebeests, oribi, Uganda Kobs, chimpanzees and patas monkeys.

In the afternoon, you will go for the superb launch cruise on the Nile. In addition to taking you close to the base of the waterfall, the 3-hour launch trip follows a stretch of the Nile with a compelling African atmosphere. Game viewing is excellent with stunning birdlife.

What to expect: Hippos in their hundreds, Some of the largest Nile crocodiles left in Africa, Small herds of buffalo, waterbuck & kob, Elephants

The birdlife on the banks is stunning. Birds to be seen include the African fish Eagle, Goliath heron, saddle-billed stork, African Jacana, Pied and malachite kingfishers, African skimmer, Piacpiac, rock pratincole kingfishers, bee-eaters and many more.

You will spend a quiet evening at the lodge with a tasty dinner. 

Wild Frontiers Murchison Falls Bottom of the Falls Cruise is a three-hour scheduled and private cruise from park headquarters to the head of Fajao Gorge at the base of Murchison Falls. Passengers can witness the mighty force of the Nile River pushing through a narrow seven-metre gap, cascading down a forty-metre cliff to the vast gorge below. The power of the falls and the scenic views from their base are breathtaking. Large resident populations of hippo float in the water along the way, groups of crocodile bask on the shore, and herds of elephant, buffalo and antelope can be seen moving along the riverbanks. The river offers spectacular opportunities for bird watchers, with a wide range of water birds and vibrant Bee-eaters nesting in the cliffs along the river’s bank.

Day 5: Primate Lodge Kibale, Kibale Forest National Park

Day Itinerary


Journey time: 6 – 7 Hrs

Early in the morning, after your breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park with your lunch stopover in Hoima.

Kibale National Park contains one of the most varied tracts of the tropical rain forest in Uganda. Forest cover, interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominates the northern and central parts of the park on an elevated plateau. Upon your arrival, you will drive straight to your Lodge and recuperate from the long journey.

Kibale Forest National Park

Located in southern Uganda, Kibale Forest National Park is said to be home to the highest density of primates in Africa. Although the highlight of the park is the habituated chimpanzees, the treetops are alive with all manner of monkey including red-tailed monkey, L’Hoest’s monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red colobus and black and white colobus monkeys are all spotted here.

When you’re not searching for monkeys there are over 300 bird species and an incredible 250 species of butterfly to keep you busy. Visitors can look forward to chimpanzee tracking, birding tours and guided nature walks.

Overnight: Primate Lodge Kibale

Primate Lodge in Kibale is an exclusive eco-lodge situated in the heart of Kibale Forest National Park. Papaya Lake Lodge is situated about 350 km away from Uganda’s capital, Kampala, in one of the country’s most scenic regions. The Great Crater Lakes area boasts over 20 extinct volcanic craters, forming a necklace of lakes, each unique in shape, size and colour, and each boasting its own distinct ecosystem.

Papaya Lake Lodge offers nine spacious and bright cottages. They are all situated on the extinct volcano crater’s slope and have breath-taking views of Lyantonde Lake. Each of the cottages offers complete privacy, hidden from view by a green wall of sympathetic treetops. Eight of the cottages feature two beds (one king-size and one single), local stone-decorated bathrooms with shower units and verandas equipped with deckchairs. Day 6: Primate Lodge Kibale, Kibale Forest National Park

Day Itinerary


At 795 sq. km, this is home to over 351 tree species some over 200 years old, famous for 13 primate species including Chimpanzees, 70 mammals species & over 375 bird species. In the morning, start the day with breakfast and get ready for the day’s exciting activities.

First thing, you will go for Chimpanzee tracking combined with an all green forest walk where you will see various bird species (great blue turaco), and more primates like the black and white colobus monkey, you will also view more animals to include bushbucks and mongoose.

Right after this activity, return to your lodge for refreshment and stay at leisure while enjoying your lunch. In the afternoon, pay a visit to Bigodi Community (optional) where you will be interacting freely with the locals. Then proceed to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a nice spot for birds; to include; African hobby, great blue turaco, Black kite, Swamp flycatcher, Scarlet-chested bird, Grey-crowned crane, Herons, Weaver birds and many more. Later on, in the evening, you will return to your lodge and enjoy your evening amidst the most captivating ambience.
